Can't.... let.... thread... die...!!

HIJACK!

My 20 y.o. neighbor and his 18 y.o. brother came over to my place to show me his latest swamp buggy. I particularly liked the custom made wrench shifter and crowbar 4WD lever! :D

Dunno if they're military or ag tires, but look like they'll do the job for him. And yeah, both he and his brother have done quite a bit of welding for me. The younger one actually constructed an outboard motor stand for me from just a drawing that I gave him. :D

hey bill, zombie hijack, here goes...............

On the inline six I asked about. When i talked to the guy initially (before i asked you) i asked what it was worth to him. he said 150 or 175. He wasn't sure if it was a 250 or a 292. I'd love a 292. anyhow, thanks for your replies. I didn't know it would need a new marine cam. That changes everything. My thought was it would be good experience to rebuild an engine since i've never done it and not to be "learning" on mine, lol. Your comment about the rings. Am i going to have to worry about that with mine. Its been sitting nearly two years now.

...Hey BWR
Yo VPM! Howzitgoin? Nice boat ya got there.

As for me... HIJACK!

Haven't taken my boat out this year YET! Been busy with other things and issues... most recently CAR PROBLEMS. ARRGGHHHHH!

Gonna get rid of my Audi once it's on the road again! Been test driving numerous vehicles this week. Lookin' for a new car, not used.

THEN maybe I'll be able to get my little fishin' boat in the water again. :D

Hi Everyone,

Well it was a play weekend for my son and I. Snakes, tractors, hikes in the woods :)

Then the little girl across the road came over

That little row boat is the 1st boat I was ever on :). its a little 7' job. Transom is shot, the keel is paper thin, and the sides are torn up at the oarlocks.

Hi Art,
How have you been, hope all is well

LOL He's just like his old man :D It was funny as heck, took a little girl to make him act like a true little boy. I had caught that garder snake for him saturday cause he wanted one, BUT he would not hold it ( a little unsure) he was ok with the red belly racers but not this one. Abby showed up, next thing you know he's picking it right up, letting wrap around him no fear, showing it off :).
Times like this is what life is all about

He even went with her to the Beaverkill river and caught a 15" small mouth bass. Although I am still not sure who actually caught it lol.

Hi Steve,

A marine cam is not a big deal. If you are completely rebuilding the engine you are changing the cam anyway. The complete kit, cam, lifters and valve springs are like $350 from Comp Cams. You can also use a truck or RV cam where the duration is low, The key is to prevent reversion.

If your engine has been sitting for 2 years with it not being turned over I would pull the plugs squirt oil or WD-40 in the cylinders even prime the oil by spinning the pump before turning her over. Send me a PM if you want and I will run it down for ya
