1985 e50belco spitting fuel top carb orifice. Rebuilt carbs new reed plates. Slight tapping comes from crankcase after warm and only when it comes down in rpms.mechanic said he found slight play in the connecting rod bearing. Motor runs strong with max compression also tested by mechanic. He said it was actually higher than it should be. So lost with this please help.thank you for suggestions

crank case leak can also cause that,

Is ir likely that the slop could throw the timing off. My guy did say there was a possibiliy of it being a crank seal. I quess a tear down is in order. To spec it out and replace seals. Is there anything I should be aware of with this model before I crack it.
