No. The CD-11 and QD-16 have completely different lower ends...

Not a hope. The 5.5 and the 7.5 were pretty close though.

thank you, how about a 10.0 HP Johnson Sea Horse Model # QD14 (1953) or QD15 (1954)

Nope, they changed the gearcases in 1955. The 10s had a varied history of lower units...
LARGE 4-bolt unit, 1951 to 1954. Similar innards to...
5-bolt unit, 1955-1957. Has an extra larger bolt in the rear where it mounts to the mid. Most robust of the 10hp lower units.
SMALL 4-bolt unit, 1958 to 1963. Similar innards to the 5.5-7.5 models, with a heavier driveshaft.

Each lower unit had a unique mid-section to go with it, so there wasn't any compatibility between variations.
