3 part question

1- the black wire im holding is from the stator wiring harness, I dont know where it goes since my old stator only had 4 wires (the blue and red next to my hand, and the two yellow ones on the rectifier) So where does the short black one go?

2- (reference bottom left of pic) I dont know where the yellow stator wires go,Since the two wires coming from the stator are both yellow and they both go to the rectifier. It dosnt specify which wire goes to its connection on the the rectifier, the only thing im certain is it dosnt go on the positive stud. but that leaves two unlabeled studs

3- Best for last, besides being upright with the wires going down away from the flywheel, is the stator supposed to be oriented on the engine in a certain way, instead of having four mounting holes in the top to line up and bolt down, it has many different holes and I can basically mount it 360?, does it matter how it goes on?

Put the black on a ground screw the one on the upper right corner of the box is fine. Yellow wire go to the unlabeled terminals on the rectifier, one terminal has the grey sender wire for the tach. The stator can go one any way as it only generates electricity to operate the systems and has nothing to do with timing.

Ok well that clears thing up for the stator, It was the timing I was concerned about. Also I connected the ground to that exact some ground you mentioned, so that worked out.

Now im trying to clear up what you said about the yellow wires from the stator to the rectifier. I already hooked up the tac wire to the correct post on the rectifier but Im trying to distinguish which yellow wire goes to that same post.

ok I appreciate any help, and the diagram helps.

But it still dosnt answer my question, unless the answer is that it dosnt matter which yellow wire goes on which, just as long as they are connected to the rectifier. Is that right?
