quick silver 2 cycl oil ok to use in stead of evinrude tcw3

ok my local walmart sells quicksilver oil not evinrude the nearest place i can get oil is about 35 miles away so is it ok to use this they are both tcw3 and it sells for about 27.00 a gallon so its cheap enough

Yes it will work chad.....the TCW-3 rating is the what tells you its OK to use. Steer clear of "outboard motor oils" without this rating.

There are 2 grades of Quicksilver (Mercury) oil,
Premium and Premium PLUS. Be sure you use the PLUS oil as the regular Premium used to say it was for engines below 75hp.

The Premium PLUS is the equivalent to the Evinrude and Yamaha factory oils as it has more anti-wear additives than the cheaper version.
