Just as the topic states. I am new to boating and the whole market of boating. I am looking at buying a good starter boat and stumbled upon a 98 Glastron 225. 8.5ft beam, 5.7 merc with 90 hours. Comes with bimini, and all covers.

Does 18,900 CDN sound like way too much for a 1998? Fabric is all in great condition.

although u are new to boating, and u may be suceptable to " falling in love" with every boat u see, hold off on that. for that amount of coin u can find way more boat. take your time, and it really helps to have someone that does know a good deal about boat mechanics, maintenance, and seamanship. there is a lot to learn, and unfortunately it can be a very expensive lesson.;)

If your thinking of spending that amount of money for any used boat, don't even hesitate, (get a marine survey done first). Thats the best insurance you can get for your investment. By the way, It's a buyer's market right now regardless of what any salesmen might tell you.

Good luck to you
