My 46lb Motorguide trolling motor is cutting out after about 5 minutes of continual use,I fish a lake where there is a 10 hp restriction so I have to use my trolling motor to travel about 15 minutes to fish, works fine when Iam beating the banks (on & off)

Re: motorguide problem

The circuit breaker at the battery is tripping, cooling, resetting, tripping, etc. You either have poor connections, corroded connections, wire gauge is too small for the current load, to name just a few problems.
