cant get lower end off 85hp

1976 85hp johnson i got the shift rod unhook got the 4 bottom bolts out and the long one and got the flywheel of and it has not drop very far you can see a little in there any help would be good thanks rick battles my email is battles_ricky@yahoo.com all check on here to

Don't forget the secret one under the trim tab.

got the one out under the trim got 5 bolts out and unhook the shift rod and took the flywheel nut of is there more than that thanks rick

There are 6 bolts plus the shift connector that holds the lower unit in place (not including the bolt that holds on the trim tab). Flywheel has nothing to do with it.

ok got one still in there then got the ones one the side's an the one under trim the long one thats five have to find the other one is it covered up

Four along the sides, one to the rear of the four (the long one) and one UNDER the trim tab. i.e. take the tab off and there's still one under it.

Edit: Ok, I guess to be precise it's actually COVERED by the trim tab (and really above it if the motor is on the boat still). Anyway, you gotta remove the trim tab to get to it.
