What Is The Material That Covers The Console On 1989 Bass Tracker Tournament Txs? I Think Maybe Vinyl Over Fiberglass But I'm Not Sure.

I had a 1989 Pro-17, I thought it was just a solid gray plastic. May be different than your model.

I've actually got this exact boat and just drilled through the consol last week to install a battery charger port. It is hard plastic on the outside then what appears to be a cardboard core followed by glass on the inside.

If you have any other questions on this boat let me know ive done about anything you can do to mine.

Mine Is Cracked And Has A Hole Where There Was A Radio Antenna. I Would Like To Recover It. I'm Thinking A Marine Grade Vinyl Would Work.

The vinyl would probably do fine as long as you can find a glue that will work with the vinyl as well as the plastic shell on the consol

You might try 3M 90 spray adhesive. I use it when covering amplifiers and speaker cabinets for our band. But once it's stuck down, it's stuck. You spray the surface and the vinyl and then carefully apply the vinyl.
