Alpha 1 Gen II conversion

I am replacing my 1987 2.5 engine/outdrive with a 1993 3.0. Do I need to change the gimbal housing or is there no diference with the Gen II? I should be able to just bolt up the outdrive after dropping the engine in right?

I will use every four letter word if I have to replace it. I replaced the bellow seals last year!!

Get your four letter word dictionary ready. You have to change Everything when going from an Alpha One to an Alpha One GenII.

Rocket, is there something wrong with your current outdrive? If not, just reuse it. If so, check out SEI, they sell brand new replacement Alpha One drives for $1200.
Sell the used Gen II you got with the engine and try to recoup your money?

Ayuh,... As noted, the Motor will drop right in,... The Drive is of No use to you....
