Trim power switch

I think i get it.. but i want make sure im correction.. just make a safety..

I bought boat from Buddy while ago.. he havent get chance to change trim switch old style to new trim switch on throttle handle..

I figure.

Cut all red.. and get one fat red wire for main and solider the wire red to attach other red wire with 20 Amp fuse.. and Attach new red wire throttle trim.

Blue to Blue

Green to Green.

but Purple!??? i look book and look by power trim there no attach to Purple?? should i ingore it?

new throttle handle with Trim on top of thottle..

New throttle trim wires...

What u guys think? im right.. or any advices

Is your engine/drive Merc?
If it is...
The red wire that goes to the shifter comes from the trim pump.
As for the wires
red=power
green=down
blue=trailer (up)
purple=limited trim (up)

The green/white wire on your existing PTT panel looks to be heavier gauge wire than the blue/white wire. Because of that you need to check to make sure your pTT pump has two solenoids, one for up and one for down.

Some of the earlier units had only one solenoid for up. On these units you needed to use the 3 button panels because the down wiring drew more power than the toggle switches could supply w/o damage. if you have two solenoids, you should be OK.

yeah it was Mercrusier 4 cy 47o with pre-alpha.. Stern Drive...

Im going try fix up tomorrow see if it work..

but I look area by Trim pump.. i dont see any purple wire.. just miss wire end of line along miss blue wire.. it weird.. it been work fine so far.. up and down trim work fine on old switch trim..

it only have one solenoid.. but i need to put on new trim switch beacuse one button is broken..
