Was at the game yesterday, watched history being made in football. Felt sorry for the Lions. They really played hard all game. Even the officials tried to help them out. The packers prevailed thankfully, but i wish they would have beaten some other team sometime. No one wants to be remembered for that type of season. I lived in Tampa during the Buc's first 2 seasons. It was ugly. Still have a soft spot for the team though, UNLESS they play the Packers!

There is hope.

The Cowboys followed a 1-15 season by making the playoffs, then won three of the next four Superbowls.

The Dolphins followed a 1-15 season by winning their division.

The Cowboys were outplayed badly enough yesterday to lose four or five games. :( :(

Well, here in New Orleans, we have the "Aints." Drew Brees missed breaking Dan Marino's 5,084 yard passing record by 16 yards this year, and is one of the top QBs in the league. In spite fo such talent in Brees and a few other players, we seem to be locked in the "so-so" mode season after season.

We are a strange lot, though. Saints fans seem to be there for the team year after year. Maybe its because we like to have a party and, what-the-heck, a football game is as good a reason as any put some Turbo Dogs (beer) in the fridge, and get out the gumbo pot!

I'm hungry .... anyone have a shrimp n erster po-boy handy? :D

Perhaps, the Lions could use Herm Edwards? He's done wonders in KC.:D Hey, 2 wins are better than nothing.

Wanna bet on the price of season tickets going down next year? ;)

I grew up a few blocks from the Arrow Head Stadium, and had season tickets from 1976 (age 9) to 1993 when I moved from KC permanently. If you remember, that year they went undefeated at home. My grandson, (age 8 mos) and I have had a standing date every Sunday to watch the Chiefs. Almost every game him and I both end up in tears.

I have seen them have some real bad years, the last couple I think were the worst but, I can not give up on them. The Chiefs will live again...

No way ticket prices decrease!

We had tickets since day 1 and just before the season started, I had to let them go. It was not an easy decision, but it cost close to $100 a head to go to a game and that was if we only had one hot dog a medium coke.

Let's hope that KC, St. Louis, and Detroit all become more competitive next season.

The problem with the Lions is that their owner and front office don't really know football or football players. So while Millen (manager) and Marinelli (head coach) have been fired the current president and general manager have been told their jobs are safe.
Not a pretty picture!:(

Biggest surprise for me this year was the Packers. Rogers had a good year and they only won 6 games!:(

The Cowboys implosion you could kinda see coming, there's no I in team and there's no team in T.O. For all his talent I wonder if he'll be back next year.
I think Jerry Jones is the new Al Davis.

I think the opinion on Shockey is mixed. He's contributed but also has a big mouth, which as a new-comer, doesn't endear him to the locals.

If history repeats itself, I think you'll find that the few outstanding plays will be overshadowed by extended injuries, training camp absence, big drops of easy passes, and the stupid comments making headlines. His rookie year he was a machine, and it went downhill fast after that.

New Orleans was supposed to win! then Atlanta would have taken the division! We had a good turnaround season this year seeing as our superstar show off got pinched in a dog fighting ring and our head coach walked off mid season last year. Then we also gave the raiders a good corner back I believe it was. BTW anyone see TB get beat by the Radiers LMAO!

Well, everyone here is pointing fingers at various Cowboys and coaches as being to blame for the debacle on Sunday.

They are all wrong.

I blame the Eagles.

Re: sorry for the detroit lions but...

As a Packer fan (and the old Milwaukee package season ticket holder) I was proposing that the team be banned from the NFL for a year if the Lions would have won that game. It was tough to watch Favre tank for the Jets the last 5 games, but we all knew it was coming. It started happening with the Packers when the undefeated cold weather QB started fading late in the season and in cold weather a few years ago. The NFC Championship game last year against the Giants showed how much Favre was hating the cold and just didn't want to be there. One game from the Super Bowl, and he looked like he just wanted to go someplace warm. That was painful to watch.
As the mantra goes... there is always next year!

They weren't too bad.
They had many games that they were very close to winning and could have gone either way, against very good teams. Look it up.
They will at least get the early draft pick.

Actually, you and they are correct. I've been blaming Dallas and Philly for all of the evils on the planet for 40 yrs!!!!:p
Washington is a close third........:D

New York poke fans are calling for Romo's head up here on the sports radio station. 5-9 in Dec and 0-2 in Jan last three years. Some are blaming individuality with Wade's inability to create a TEAM. I feel it's Jerry's yearning for spotlight/hollywood atmosphere that keeps feeding the individual mentality. He called out Marion Barber for not giving 100%, says alot about what he knows about this game. I'd create a dynasty with a team of Barber's, and a real mess with a team of TO's. We'll see what happens next season.....

You can't really believe that can you? That team was going to implode no matter who it played.
