Seloc On-line subscription... Worth it?

I was considering purchasing a Seloc On-line subscription for working on my 1979 Evinrude 115 hp this winter. Does anyone use this service & if so, is it worth it? If not, what is a good reliable source for doing carb work, impellers, electrical, etc. Thanks.

Not worth it...
The real OMC factory manual is the only way to go.Best money you will ever spend on that motor...;)

as Gary said, getting the seloc, on line, you can't even line the bird cage with it.

Gary, an indirect thank you. I've been searching for my service manual for over 6 months with no luck (2001 Johnson, manual was never printed) so the 2000 was a hard find.

I clicked your link above, did a quick search and found it in California (cost me $43 Canadian with shipping and it's on its way) Since the end of boating season for me over a month ago, I kind of stopped looking but your link helped me to find mine indirectly.

And as Gary and TD said, factory service manual is the way to go. I've checked the Seloc and ordered a few CDs off ebay. Not worth it.

I have never seen the online version of the Seloc manual, but if it is anything like the printed version, its pretty much junk. You'd be better of sending your subscription money to me - I can tell you something that applies to eight other motors, in six words, just as easily as they can!

Have both Seloc Online & printed manual for my boat ... Seloc online isn't THAT bad, but it lacks detail in certain situations. Nice thing is it's searchable, I've found that handy here and there, but there are times when you're searching for something that's not online but IS in the printed manuals....... For the price they charge it's not that bad, but the factory service manuals are much more detailed. IMHO
