Clicking noise by flywheel on shutdown

I recently purchased a 4 year old boat with a four stroke 115hp (same year). As I finished changing the oil i ran the engine for three minutes as suggested in the owners manual in order to visually inspect the oil system for leaks. No leaks but when I shut the engine off I hear a clicking sound that lasts for approximately 3 seconds and seems to come from flywheel area. I never noticed the noise when the cover is on as the sound is muffled. Any idea if this is normal? As far as evrything else is concerned the engine runs great.
