rotten floor - help!

Just this summer I purchased my first boat. It's a 1995 Four Winns Horizon 220 bowrider. I've had a wonderful summer, however I discovered the floor is in bad shape. It's rotted out and needs to be replaced. I'm hoping I can get some good advice on how to replace this floor:

1. Is this a DYI project? I'm not particularly handy but with good direction I believe I might be able to handle this.

2. What are the steps to replace the floor?

3. What would it cost to have this done by a professional?

4. How do I find a place to do this repair?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: rotten floor - help!

pro cost for floor (deck.also called sole)

is 1500 to 1800.......but.....theres more to it than that.....trust me.....

if you do it yourself.....deck only.....under 400.......its easy.....a pro will have one done in less than 12 hrs (working time)

read the compleated projects forum....lots in there

cheers
