Does anybody know were I can find inexpensive VRO pump cause the ones I been finding are around $300 to $350 range . Is there an aftermarket or rebuilt ones that are any good or do I need to stick with a factory one.

that's what they go for. get the new OMS pump, not Vro. oil side not rebuildable, so new is it.

The previous owner of my boat removed the VRO pump because of the expense to replace it. I believe this is the most common solution rather than replacing them. You just have to mix your own oil after that which is not a big deal.

Do they even sell VRO or VRO2 pumps anymore? I thought all of the oil mixing pumps - even those used to replace pumps in older VRO and VRO2 systems - are OMS now.

If I go to get a replacement for my 1990 VRO2 pump, would I get another VRO2 pump if I don't specify that I want the latest version of the OMS pump?

You can purchase a brand new non-oiling pump from Bombardier. It looks just like the original, but does not have the oil pump side. New, it runs about $90 cheaper than the normal oiling type. You have to mix the gas with the new pump.

dajohnson- the replacement pumps are OMS, unless a dealer has an old VRO still on the shelf. The current parts listing for VRO pumps automatically supersedes to the OMS. They are worth the money in my opinion, and repairable if neccessary.
