new gasket for lower unit fill screw?

I have an '89 force 35
I have changed the lower unit oil a few times and have used the same crushable gaskets when replacing the oil fill screw and the vent screw. I have read that this is bad practice.
Any idea where to pick up more of these gaskets. I can't find this motor listed for parts anywhere!
thanks

Should be able to get them at any Mercury dealer.

If you can't find them I use the Mercury seals. They work just fine.I buy them by the pack and always have some on hand and change them after each change.Jerry

Mercury, Evinrude, Chrysler, Force--they are all the same size with differences in material. All cost around 50 cents each. Use whichever you can get.

If you want to spend the big bucks, at one time, Evinrude used a 3/8 screw with a groove under the head. An O-ring fit there, eliminating the need to "grunt" tighten it to seal. Cost around 10 bucks each though.
