120hp Force no throttle

I was at the lake yesterday, when I was throttling the boat down the trottle gave way and no power. Now I can only idle when I put the boat in gear. The trottle does nothing but put the boat in forward and reverse. Engine will not rev up when I push the throttle down. Took the cover off the motor and the cable seems to be moving on the motor.
Not sure what happened. But is was a long ride back to the boat ramp at idle speed. Any help out there. Thanks

Check cable from end to end.
May have disconnected inside the controls at the helm.

if the cable still pushes back and forth on bracket on motor cable should be fine. or is there something else I need to look at.

check that little bone looking connection that connects to the carbs the ends are made of plastic and i have seen them crack and they are actually called heims
