69 Johnson spark Issue!!!

I have a 69 johnson 6hp 2 stroke with spark to only one plug. What can the problem be?

May need a new coil condensor and spark plug wire.

Are you checking it by grounding the plug wire or with a spark tester?

Or are you grounding the plug itself against the powerhead? If so check the wire by using a spark tester or you can use a screw driver and bring it up near the powerhead to see what happens. To play it safe buy a spark tester (from any auto parts store) if you don't own one and check it if you haven't already done so. Testing the wire (not the plug) will tell you if the coil is the problem or not, if you are getting spark through the wire then you can just simply replace the spark plug.

I have tested the plug by holding it against the powerhead and one of the wires does spark and the other does not. Then I switched the plugs to the opposite wire and it has been determined that it is not the plug itself. so it has to be the wire or the coil. Ps: the points were replaced with electronic ignition and there is no condensor anymore.
