the motor"seiezed" way lame . here's the thing though its not seiezed stuck started to break it down and the crank still turn's , smoothly (hmmm) heres the thing though it stops at one point ,turn it back the other way 359 degrees bam stops again, opened up the ports on the side of the cylinder and every thing looks good no marring or scratchs, any help would be appreciated

Head covers off? You won't know if something is broke until you open it up and take a look. What you find broken, you will have to fix.

Sounds like a broken rod cap to me. It will turn around till it gets back to that pistons stroke again. You will have to split the crank case and take a look. I have had that happen to me before, it's a pain in the rear but you have to do it.

Re: grrr this is my luck

ok so ive broken it most of the way down now , do i need a puller of some sort for the "fly wheel" on top sort don't know the actual name of it ,also i have to build a wrench to get that last 5/8 bolt down low . . . lucky me i work with metal all day long so i figure i can make a custom one, other wise what does it look like so i can get a rough shape started . also figured it was old and sticky gas from the previous year , never came all the way up to full throttle , kinda bogged down when i tried to hit the gas , then klink, upon getting to the carb it looked clean , its the pits was planning on putting a full tank of premeium with octane booster to clean every thing out on the next tank , had about a half a tank frommthe previous year ( with stabil),,...... makes me so mad at myself , elpaso county doesent have some place to dump or recycle for gas ,was even about to just burn it off in a fire pit and structural pipe "burn off" vessal . but no i just had to go try to burn it off the regular way ,, any help or suggestion as to any other tools im going to need to pull this one off ? greatly appreciated

wishin im fishin, in colorado

Unless you have rebuilt them before the best bet is to just get another engine, Most likely the POWERHEAD is ruined . You can mess with it for 6 months spending time and money if you want to .........but it will never be used again on a boat.sorry
