recomended WOT RPM for OMC

I have a 1987 bayliner with a 5.7 ltr engine and I'm trying to find out what the manufactures recomended WOT RPM is, as I want to change my prop. pitch. Can anyone tell me this info as it is hard to get anywere from the dealers as they whant to sell me a new boat. Thank You.

This is just a question -- if you don't (didn't) know what the WOT rpm is, how do you know you need to change prop pitch?

some people told me I should change as I'm useing so much fuel, I went from Hamilton to port delhousie and back and used about $180.00 in gas
I was useing a 15 x 151/2 prop.

About how many miles is it?What rpm and speed did you run?What is the present max rpm and speed.$180 doesn't tell us much. How about gallons or at least price per gallon?What size boat?MY educated guess that motor would use about 25 to 30 GPH(gallons per hour)at wide open throttle.Get us the details and we can figure where you are at.
