Sorry, Phil has spoken ... www. groundhog.org (remove the space between the www. & groundhog). Check out the past predicitions. It is quite a hoot, and a fun time to visit Punxsy!;):D:eek:

According to the website, Phil has been 100% correct since 1887!

Gee.... now that Phil has done his job....... Let's eat!

GROUNDHOG STEW

1 Groundhog
2 onions, sliced
1/2 cup celery, sliced
Flour
Vinegar and water
Salt and pepper
Cloves

Clean groundhog; remove glands; cut into serving pieces. Soak overnight in a solution of equal parts of water and vinegar with addition of one sliced onion and a little salt. Drain, wash, and wipe. Parboil 20 minutes, drain, and cover with fresh boiling water. Add one sliced onion, celery, a few cloves, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook until tender; thicken gravy with flour.

You mean winter has started??? These 60-70 degree days feel like fall to me, or spring, either way. We're still waiting on a good freeze to kill off the bugs.

So, if he sees his shadow, it's 6 more weeks of winter.

If he doesn't see his shadow, it's what... a month and a half of winter left?:D

I never understood that frickin' oversized squirrel.

I think groundhogs are cool. We have a lot of them here, and inevitably half end up roadkill every year, but they are still cool. I think they would be fun to have as a pet, as long as they don't bite.
