Cannot find any numbers on the transom bracket.

The welch plug has this number on it: G253322

I can't find anything else. It's dark blue but there appears to be an undercoat of green but that is only on the motor. The cowling is all blue and no other undercoats.

Carb #: JO 433236
Head #: 336306-1
Block #: 334474
Coil #: 582508 11JQ-OA

Anyone have any insight

The coil was used on numerous engines in the late 1980's thru '90's. A picture would help if it still has the original paint job and decals.

I will get some pics of it tonight and post them up.

I was hopeing to match the decals with the factory sales brochures, but it seems like they have been painted over??

My best guess is that it is a 1992 thru 1995, based on the plastic Evinrude medallions on the sides.

Okay, I've narrowed it down to a 92, 93, or 94. The cowling has not been painted over, Evinrude just used a vinyl w/ blue lines on some of their motors as well as the red lining used in the sales brochures.

I am looking at repair manuals online (because that's what I always do when I buy something) and have found a couple of service manuals for the 60 -70 motors. One is for a 93 and the other is for a 94.

Here's my question:
Do you think there is much variance between the years to really worry about having a 93 or 94 book when my motor may not be the exact same year?

I know normally that is a dumb question but there can't much difference in these motors over the three year span.

Thanks

Ok, comparing the power pack to the one on the boatpartstore website, it looks as though I have a 1992 model. They changed to QUICKSTART system for 1993 and thus a different power pack.

Now, there are EL, TL, TTL, TX models. Does anyone know the difference in these models?

EL= Electric start, 20' shaft
TL= Same with power trim & tilt
TTL=Tiller Trim&Tilt (Backtroller)
TX=Power Trim&Tilt, electric start, Extra long shaft (25")

Excellent, that gets me even closer.

Here's another question though. What are the differences in these models?

E60TLENE
TE60TLENE
VE60TLENE

I have already ruled these 1992 60hp models out now since I have electric start, tilt, 20" shaft, and no tiller:
E60ELENE
E60TTLENE
VE60ELENE

So...

T = Tracker Model

and

V = Boat Builder

What does that mean? Sorry for the questions but I am giving it all my best shot.
