what make is my boat ?

anybody know what the make and type my fishing boat is. i have owned it now for 2 years. its a great sea boat. very stable . it has a 115hp mercury that put her up to around 30mph , the only info i have was off the guy who i got it off and he said that the thames river police used the same type of boat some years ago ....any idears or comment ...thanks

Get the HIN, Hull Identification Number off the stern of the boat.
That would tell us a lot.

No, it will be on the outside of the hull on the starboard side.
Up right at the rub rail.

it's a british or european boat, may not have hin where ours are.

It looks like a Boston Whaler Outrage? or maybe a McKee craft?

haveing looked at some boston whalers and the MCkee... i agree with you . the hull is the same as the boston whaler........ can not seem to find any exact...all the transoms are differant , also the top deck ...think this is a british design as all ours seem to have the same cabin tops, and in the US they seem to be more open . at the stern my boat has storeage for fuel on one side and electrics on the other. also has a self draining deck whitch is very rare for a boat of this size over here ,. any more clue,s would be helpful ...thanks

Your HIN might be under the kicker motor bracket.

there is no hin number ...plate of any kind .

The post about the kicker bracket is probably correct and there probably won't be a plate. Hull numbers in fiberglass boats are generally molded into the hull and are located at the outer, upper right side of the transom.

I would say that it is a copy of the original Boston Whaler ... the ones made prior to the Outrage. I actually thought that is what it is at first, but the lines of the bow seem to be slightly different. It's almost as if it is a cross between the older hull and the Outrage so I can see why the previous poster saw that design in it.

Do you have a boat registration? I know GA puts the HIN in the registration papers, I think NC does also but I dont have my registration with me to double check. That HIN is also used in most bill of sales, just like your car vin.

What kind of paper work did u get when u bought it?
There should be some legal description.

He's in the U.K. so his paperwork may look a bit different than what most of us are used to seeing. I'll be glad to find out what it is, though. Its an interesting boat!
