Re: No more Levi's jeans for me

Are they putting buttons in the back of the 501's, too?......:eek::)

Daresay?:eek::eek:

BTW, I stopped buying Levi's years ago. They are as 'bout as Left as Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. They have also made public anti-gun statements as well. I really do like the 501's, still have a few that I am waiting for me to shrink so I can wear them again. In the mean time, Kirkland Jeans work real well for $14.95. If there ever was a brand that I would like to see brought down low, it would be Levis. Both for their politics and their price.

If they are going to market to gay consumers, then I want to make the statement that I disapprove and not purchase their product. It's the only vote I have, and I'll use it.

I think we need to do a study of physics on how those jeans stay up and don't fall down around her knees. Can i be the observer some one else can take the notes.

wow... I am actually amazed that people care about this, but I guess nothing should surprise me anymore...

I guess it is the open acknowledgement that gays actually exist that bother you guys? I don't get it at all...

Don't give a hoot what Levis does.I buy the $9.00 jeans at Wall Mart, wear them till they are full of holes then cut them off to shorts. Its nothing to get 8 or 9 years out of a pair of jeans { what half the people on this forum spend on cloths each year just to stay in style would support me over 10years}. Right now I get by on less than $100 a month and the only reason I've got that is I recycle....ANIMAL ;)

WOW, you are a living example of the phrase (correct me if I get it wrong) "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without!"

I think to be fair that Levis should openly advertise their jeans for heterosexuals. You know, make a big deal out of it. Something like 'Jeans for those who prefer the old way'!

Re: No more Levi's jeans for me

I don't give a hoot on the ad, but it did make me wonder why something like that would be shown to promote sex.

Words from my 8 year old grand son "Why do they have to take off their pants to hug each other?" I answered "TV is like cartoons, you can't believe everything that you watch" Right or wrong with my answer doesn't matter. I would like to keep my inocent grandchildren that way as long as possible.

It makes me want to puke when I see 14 year old girls with the tramp stamp. What kind of parent would allow that? Sorry if I'm old fashioned, but with so much emphasis on sex, now wonder we have so many illegit children. Children do not know how to raise children since they themselves haven't been raised yet.

I'm with KRS on this one, the ad is not appropriate for all ages to watch.

When I grew up, the only thing you could find that showed naked pictures was in magazines and 8mm films. (and they were under my big bro's mattress).
Now porn is in everyones house via internet and can make it difficult to keep younger children innocent. It is impossible to do if the parent doesn't know how to set up their computer to block the stuff.

My 12 year old grand son thinks its cool to tell his grand dad dirty jokes he has read off the internet. He just couldn't understand why gramps did'nt laugh much at his jokes. There is a time and place for everything. I feel the time is wrong for our young children and the place is wrong for having porn brought straight into ones home.

That ^^^^^ is a reason why it isn't "silly" JB, your grand buddies. Same reason why you should find a way to "get it" woodrat. Not everything is fair, not everything is OK, not everything is for public display to prove that you are cool, not everything is equally acceptable for children. On the other hand, I support Levi's right to be stupid. I don't want the Democratically controlled Congress to make a law requiring Levi's to promote Global Warming hysteria in their adds either . . . :rolleyes:
