Hp rating on Omc 5.8 ???????

Does anyone know what the hp rating is for a 1991 OMC 5.8L w/4 barrel carb?

Somewhere's in the 280 - 290 range. I believe the 2bbl was rated around 240HP

OK that sounds more like it! I stopped and looked at a boat the other day with that setup and the guy said it was 230 hp but wasnt sure sine he wasnt a boat guy and picked up on a trade. Thanks for the info!!

I think my 89 is 225 or 230. OMC Cobra 5.8L 4bbl.
