looking at a 85 hp 1975 evinrude say modle # is 8559305687 this doesnt sound right it is a 4 cylinder and has a solid blue stripe around the crowling not much to go on any ideas

The model number of "85593" 05687 indicates that the engine is indeed a 1975 85hp Evinrude. (85593)

can you give any imfo about this motor such as elect shift manual shift or where i could find this type imfo at

The engine has a mechanical shift system (no electric). With the model number of 85593 you can obtain a service manual, no doubt on this site or others that will allow you to fully understand all aspects of the engine.
