Roscoe, Count Ann and I in on the 7th. Also my Brother will be coming as well. We are most likely going to stay in the marina on board our boats. We also have a buddy with a condo on Pentenwell. I'll see what he is up to that weekend.

Rock and Roll on that one Sanger. I think this venue will provide a great variety of in water activities and the date lends itself to great weather. I am stoked. Everyone bringing a boat should bring extra fenders for rafting off. Iboats island as it were. 8)

Nothing personal, Pointer (and everybody else), but I tie up to no one! Not even docks. I'll anchor, but that's about it. My boat does not do well at most docks. It's just too low and always winds up going UNDER the dock.

I know, I'm really anal about my boat. You can give me all of the crap you want, but that's why my boat looks like it does!

Roger on the boat ride Pointer. Maybe Ann will want to go again. This time I may not be as gentle with the throttle and steering wheel.:%8)

I was with you on this one Sanger, but I have caved to family pressure and it definitely helps that I have more freeboard now. The reason I am posting though is that I have found the perfect fenders for rafting up any boats. Skitube type things . . . You can't use them while you are rafted up anyway, so I tie them between boats now. I think it is safer for swimmers (kids) too. When they are tied closely I am terrified of a kids head (or hand) getting squished between boats when a wake hits. Haven't really ever heard of this type of an accident, but I am confident it could do some serious damage to things more important than boats . . . :%

Sanger, I respect any captain who makes decisions about the safety of his craft and passengers. But let me assure you that proper line techniques and a well placed anchor will set your mind at ease. But, either way the layout of the lakes will allow for abundant water sports and plenty of member interaction. And hey, I got Ann on the back of the snowmobile last weekend so I would imagine she is coming around to the more ambitious capabilities of our boats. Ran her threw 3-5 footers while on plane in Lake Michigan last summer over the 4th. Handled that well after the proper exposure. I think she is ready for the next step in her boating experience.. d

Even then, if I did let anyone get in it, I'd make them take a shower first.

I never did understand the rafting thing either.

If anyone wants a copy of the campground brochure, they sent me few extras.

The next few months are going to be tough.
I've got a verbal agreement on a 91 Wellcraft Eclipse 216XL w/7.4L Bravo 1. 8) Just waiting to hear back on when we can put down a deposit pending sea trial and inspection.

Nope, the Santa Fe died late last year. Scoring of the cylinder walls. To much towing at just over capacity.:'( (1100 cap/1300 boat)
We traded for a 05 Chevy Trailblazer 4wd. MyPirate That's why we started shopping this year. It would be a shame to let 80% of our towing capacity go unused.

Even with the 7.4, I'll still race ya! Hope to see you at the get together and we can swap some brews again!

Mucho bigger! +6ft length +3ft beam +280HP eek +30mph eek

With Winnebago & Michigan within 30 miles, we have lots of big lake options. Plus it's still small enough we can go to some of the not so big lakes as well. Peawaukee Lake comes to mind.

As for the cuddy..... o :| I'll take the 5th.
