i have a '79 115 with electric t&t. the harness was cut so i am using the controls from my '79 70. all the electrical seems to be the same from the motor to the contols, but the 70 dosent have t&t. i want to put the t&t controls on the throttle handle. can anyone recomend where to get such a setup, that dosent cost an arm and a leg? i just want to add it to my controls, not replace them completly.

Re: tilt/trim switches

All you need to do is switch the control box handle that has the thumb Up/Down switch.

I believe that is a 3-wire system.

Red=Common
Blue=Up
Green=Down

Try to find OMC/BRP # 390073 (there are also 2 newer #'s). it lists around $45,and has all the parts to change your control handle to trim and tilt.

Re: tilt/trim switches

I checked my stock. All that I have left are the thumb type switch & cable assemblies alone.
