What Year Engine is this??

I was wondering if someone had a way to look up my engine. 4.3 OMC, Model 884541,serial T0480734

I think the engine has been replaced before,someone put a new sticker over the old engine ID sticker on the thermostat housing. I can't find any other numbers on the engine..
The boat is a 1987 model..

Look for numbers that look like this chart. That should help.

I re-read your post...you need a GM engine ID chart. I had one of those bookmarked. I will look for it.

Is there a particular reason for ID-ing the engine ? Are you needing a part or just trying to ID the exact year of production ?

Just trying to figure out what the actual year model is..I thought it may come in handy when ordering parts.
I know it has been changed and wondered if it was a newer engine than what was in it originally...:/

These are'nt bonafied marine engines but if you follow the trail it creates it may get you to what you are looking for.
