Tom DeLay may indeed run for his seat again?

Judge refuses to remove his name from the ballot, so Mr. DeLay may aggressively campaign for his old position.

Interesting! 8)

Here I thought this would help you sleep good tonight.

"Every Republican running next year has Tom DeLay running as a running mate," says Rep. Barney Frank (D) of Massachusetts.d:)

Didn't the Democratic party use the Texas court system to block the free will of the people to elect a candidate of their choice? Hmmmmm . . . just asking . . .

I work for a county here in Tx. and one of my responsibilities is to update the pct. maps. I can tell you from experience that DeLay and the Repubs are amateurs compared to the Dems when it comes to gerrymandering. When I first started in the job 15 yrs. ago I was in shock at the political BS and back room deals made by our DEMOCRATIC commissioners not only to fight off the strengthening Repub. presence in the county but to also get their supporters favors.
What really was amazing back then was the boldness of their actions. They just assumed that when they called to change the maps or get a supporter's project in the works they were talking to either an idiot that couldn't figure out what was up, a died in the wool Dem. or one of their political appointees who owed them their job.
I know where so many skeletons are now that I feel pretty secure in my job.8)

Let me see if I've got this straight . . . Mr Ladyfish claims to have professional experience with Democrats acting like . . . errrr . . . politicians? Man!! Barney Frank seemed to imply that Republicans have Gerry Mander's blood all over their hands . . . Plus the Dems want to help get the accused gerrymanderer elected again? That's nice . . . Well at least I thought Dems were nice before I read Mr. LF's post. Another bubble burst. Dang :'(

QC, the Dems are always accusing the Repubs of doing what they do. The rank and file always just suck it up.

It makes me uncomfortable to mention Barney Frank and strange bedfellows in the same sentence!:^

If Massachusetts can elect Ted Kennedy over and over ad nauseum then why all the liberal boo-hooing about Tom DeLay?

GQ, I can't come up with anything interesting to say because my interesting-quotient is all filled up dreaming about your custom Ford Taurus! 8)

Yes. No. Maybe. I don't know. It's all smoke & mirrors. Did he really say he'll run if the court of appeals won't take his name off the ballot? He can't run if he "really" moved to Virginia. It would be easier to take him seriously if he said "I can't run because I don't live in Texas." I just don't think he's doing the republican party any favors.

Curious...wonder what percentage are crooks from the get go...and what percentage become crooks after they get elected...

I sure would like to vote for Kinky Friedman, only thing holding me back is...will he be crooked enough to get anything done...
