Re: Repower 2002 trophey

A lot has to do with the weight of the motor. I believe the new Honda 150 is fairly light weight. You might compare the Honda's weight to the motor you have. Some people have had to go to the Evinrude to get a lighter motor. Though, some of the Evinrudes aren't all that light.

Keep in mind that the motor cost one thing, and the controls and wiring, something else. This is the main reason people repower with similar brands of motors.

Overall, if you like the boat, repowering is a good way to go. Way cheaper than a new boat.
