JFK closed at 11:30 this morning. Dunno if it's open yet or not.

Funny, My sister is flying from Chicago TO Amsterdam on Saturday, but not landing anywhere on the east coast.

And brother-in-law arrived in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Wednesday, for a subcontracting job that should last 10 days.

Well, at least being from Green Bay, he has the skills to handle your blizo-bomb, or whatever they are calling it.

Their forecasting for between -40 to -48 for my neck of the woods .Which means -40 to -54 f windchill.I handle the cold a lot better than too much heat.At camp it would be most likely around -45f without the wind .

Well, his flight did a 180 before Newfoundland and went back to Heathrow. Put him in a hotel for 7 hrs and now sitting on the tarmac indefinitely. His journey started 0800hr Thur. Plenty of time for me to clear the blizobombo. It is 8F and 30kts. Not in a hurry to finish.

Well, this morning I put on my last long-sleeved t-shirt. I only have four, fer cryin' out loud!

It was 29 here again this morning and the cold weather is forecast to last a few more days. Supposed to get to 64 the day after tomorrow.

My wife and I talked about going up to Georgia for the weekend so that she and the boy could see snow. But there isn't any snow there right now.

29 would have felt like a heat wave last week. Right now -9 with highs tomorrow of 2. Dropping next week again to -28

Son is home. Arrived 530pm Fri at JFK. 3 hrs to get to gate. 2 hrs to clear customs and 1.5 hrs to get baggage. Took me 1.5 hrs to reach terminal from airport entrance to pick him up. Home at 245am. Air travel after the east coast is shut down for a blizzard is challenging. He isn't awake yet.

Wow! Glad to hear that he made it there okay.

My daughter in Baltimore and buddy in Johnstown, PA are both pretty much frozen solid. :smow:

Winter weather brings different dangers here. It was a very pleasant 61 degrees here this afternoon and my next door neighbor buddy was working around his place.

As he was moving stuff around, this Eastern Diamondback stuck its head out to see what was going on. Um, "surprised" my bud for sure!
