2005 3.0 alternator belt

I have looked all over the place and I can not find a part # for it... I want to have the belt in hand before I go down to the boat... can my iboats family help me out on this please??

I do not... its a 2005 with power steering.. however the p/s has its own belt

2 different belts fit the '2005' group.

Could be 57-862054Q, or 57-69143Q, although I'm not sure of the difference because the water pump pulley and harmonic balancer are the same for both belts

Personally, take the belt off, head for the local car parts shop and buy 2. 1 to replace the one you pulled off, and the other to lay in and tie back as a 'spare in place'... It'll be cheaper to buy 2 from the car parts shop than 1 from Merc, and they're the same belt!

My 2008 3.0L uses either the 15400 or 15410 from the auto parts store. The 15410 is a little longer so I typically try to get the 15400 when available.

Not to hijack this thread but does anyone also have a parts store number for an oil filter, mercruiser oil filters are a bit steep, thanks

Ayuh,..... I use Napa 1086, which is 1 of the shorter versions,....
But any standard Chevy oil filter is what ya need,....

inline GM 6 cylinder works just fine, long or short version
