Hey Ibrothers,
I need to ask for help finding a part. It goes on a 1976 Johnson 115 HP Outboard. Engine model 115 ETL76. The boat belongs to my folks and I'm trying to get them back on the water.

The part were looking for is the hydraulic line for the trim cylinders, it looks like this:

Its here is a picture of the location:

I've checked the links prvided by Tashasdaddy (http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=301361) and have found it in the diagrams, but the price listed is about $260.00 and appears it includes other parts I don't need. I am really hoping to find one a little more affordable or a substitute. If I don't have any luck We'll try to see what it would cost to have one made if it's less expensive.

Hopefully the links work:D

Thanks All, iweld

I don't think that you will be able to find that one, at least I could not. I took mine to a hydraulic cylinder/fitting shop and they cut off the metal end with the bend and used a compression fitting to fit it to a new line. No one I could find carried the old fitting that fits into the cylinder, and I went to three of the best shops that I knew of.

The new line with the old fitting seems to be working fine though. It should be good for another 30 or so years.

Where in Mo are you? If you are in the KC area try Tompkins (http://www.tompkinsind.com/) They have built me several hoses in the past for all kinds of stuff. They are cheap too.

Thanks crb478, that's a good idea. I had figured I may have to get a custom line made after the internet search didn't turn up much. I never thought about using a compression fitting on the solid end. That gets me to thinking...hmmm

I'm in Warrensburg but I may have to check them out if the local shops around here or at my parents can't help. They were gonna stop at a couple places today around Springfield and see if they could get something made. I'll have to check and see if they had any luck.

Thanks for the lead crazyinkc
