water leaks around windshield

I have a 1989 Renken Cuddy and I get a leak inside below the windshield there are four screws holding the windshield to the boat if I remove the trim and chaulk around screw heads will that take care of leaks

Im fairly sure you have more than 4 screws holding your shield on ..
