wrfalpacas,
Well, Congrats on the splash. Well done.
The boat sure looks great sitting in the water and she should give you years of fun.
Which lake got the honor of your splash. I know most of the lakes in your area too.
Once again Well Done.

Thanks guys, couldn't have done it without your encouragement and help! Bob, sylvan lake was the choice today. We are headed to crooked lake Saturday. Mebbe stop at captains cabin for lunch.

wrfalpacas,
I know the lake. I use to fly out of the Kendallville airport.
I almost bought a house on Crooked lake many years ago.
Once again great job and congrats.

Looks fantastic. I can only imagine all the comments you'll get on that boat at the ramps. Great work! You have some completed projects threads to work on!

Don't know if you use this forum anymore but I have looked at your pictures and wondered how your progress has been. I just bought a 71 Starchief and I believe it is just about a mirror job of what you got yourself into. I think it will be fun but alot of work.

Re: 68 Starcraft Starchief 18' Cuddy Restoration

Love this and am going to steal the idea for my cabin, I'm new to this and haven't torn my ceiling out yet (wood paneling :( ) but how is it mounted? Did you built a frame or is it screwed into the roof? I'm sure it will be evident once i open mine up, but figured i'd ask!

Vegas - I really like the color of your seats, that orange is gonna be eye catching!

I put a ceiling in the cuddy tonight. It didn't have one originally- just exposed ribs and hot aluminum. I added one with a couple of led ceiling lights with built in switches. I stuck some leftover pink insulation between the ribs to keep the hot sun from heating the cabin too much. Then I covered it all with some white fiberglass reinforced paneling/sheet from home desperate. Waterproof and it will never mold. :D
