Got some help with the transom, added additional layer fibreglass inbetween the outer layer and the plywood to fasten the plywood. Also twice as much as before on the inside.

Looks good, definitely nice when you start putting things back together. I finally have the deck back in and fully glassed and it is an awesome point to be able to stand on it again.

Very nice work... Love the new dash and great job on the wire cleanup!!! Much better than a birds nest. It's great to be able to put new in.

Looking forward to seeing some structure in there :)

Have fun!

Transom plate, gimbal house and bell housing mounted. Also made the walls and frames for the engine compartment and 2 storage compartments.

Looks great. Can I ask what you used for
the framing? Is it wood or metal?

Hi, it is plastic, but it behaves like wood although not as rigid. Used for outdoor playgrounds and furniture.

Used a router to make the water run-off.

That type of composite material typically has compressive, not tensile, strength - can be described as less "rigid". If used in an application that requires some tensile strength, could be a problem. I hope that is not your situation here, and expect you understand these materials, just thought I'd throw it out there.

Great looking dash, I have often thought about building something like that, but other things always come up. I will keep yours in mind though, thanks for sharing your project, with pics!

Not being an expert I would guess on polyethylene plastic. It is made of reused plastic and as mentioned not rigid and not even self supporting. In my use case it will rest on the wooden structure and be bolted to the fibre glass in the boat. I haven’t mounted the port and starboard side beams and you can see in the picture how it bends the cross section beams.

These one are from a local factory here in Sweden and no specific brand name. They also do similar products, but with a metal core for strength.

Cheers

Really Nice work!!! What coating did you use on the Engine Well and Motor Mounts. Are the Metal Motor mount plates original to the boat?

The mounts are built with divinycell h60 as distance material, probably unnecessarily much fiber glass and engine room is painted with top coat. Wanted to use h200 for the transom, but was to expensive and used marine graded plywood instead.

Not sure if the mounts are original, but came with the boat and definitely sturdy enough when bolted thru the mounts.
