Yea Vegas, NICE TWINS , the fish aren't to bad either ;)

Thanks for the compliment of the pics, I've taken thousands of them over the years. I find some of the architecture amazing with the gargoyles etc on the buildings that you typically can't see when its 600' up. somewhere I have close ups of the Chrysler buildings metal work, its truely amazing to see first hand.

Never been to Havasu myself. When I lived out west, I always wanted to rent a houseboat for a week and take my Bass Tracker along behind. Just couldn't get the details worked out though.

Is that havasu? Isnt hotboat located in havasu?

Yeah, thats the River, Colorado that is... Next spring we're heading down there for one of them Havasu Poker Runs
For PHOTOS click the link.
...should be outrageous...leave the kids behind with the in laws...couple days of beer and fun!

heres some text from a recent update on a 2009 Run down there
Quote is from from Offshoreonly.com

The 2008 event exceeded everyone?s expectations in the number and quality of the poker run teams and boats. We pulled out all the stops to make it a top notch event in safety and quality. Adding the west coast version of the Lake of the Ozarks Radar Shootout brought over 2000 spectator boats lining the course. Please help us continue this as one of the premier west coast performance boat events! Thursday will start off the excitement with a down town Street Party, all of our participants and Sponsors are invited to display their boats on McCulloch Boulevard which will be closed off for the event. Display and vendor booth areas can be purchased by our sponsors and the public. Last years Street Party was spectacular and over 10,000 people turned out from all over the area, so of course we have to make it even bigger this year. Registration and check in for the poker run and shootout will open Thursday night at the street party.

well it depends on the angle of the person looking!

I have pics of gals getting body painted from nude to fully looking like a zebra or leopard from Halloween bashes for VIP casino guests at the Casinos..(a personal fave of mine by the way) especially when thier are 75 models hired for the event!

....to (Dull for some people) Architecture photography of Famous peoples houses to not so famous but VERY wealthy peoples houses...
to Big wig celebs that get paid 20k to 60k for an hour to speak and do a meet and greet.........to sunrise at the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone.....to a just married couple in front of the Venetian at dusk....

I like this one...

The Parade of Homes used this for thier cover for 3 solid years...unheard of!

Here's a decent rooftop view from Atop the MGM looking west to NYNY
my wife and I were up there for 2 Days shooting for The Residences @ MGM (condos)

This one came out real cool, shot for the speculator that built/sold it...(the picture was one of many foor marketing it) we only used around 60 lighhts that night...not alot of lights considering.....it was alot of house on multiple levels...used 2K Fresnels for lighting the mountain and some other areas
cliffhouse.jpg

If you guys could only see this image at FULL RESOLUTION....
there is a jet airliner silohuetted in the center...also the tips of the high voltage lines have static discharge that was visible as purple sparks (very small detail) approx 8 minute exposure, this is the power grid near Hoover Dam....I dig this shot...Shooting Lightning is one of my OTHER hobbies..as if I needed more! PS the lightning was pretty much directly overhead and wide angle lens used

If I carry, I'll be carrying this - in 45-70.

bfr45-70pic.jpg

Really? a 45-70 for a CC arm? Oh man....

I used to carry my Walther PP in .32 in an ankle rig a long time ago...
My all time fav (and biggest) sidearm I have carried or would carry is my 1911 A1 45 ACP. My S&W 686 in 357 is a close 2nd for size..

If we were in a "situation" together..I could drop 3 perps with my 45 before ya even got that cannon out, not to mention cocking it once...A single action for a carry arm??

oooooooo... photos!

I have a couple, heh heh. ALL pix in this group are from around my homestead.

My gazanias were awesome and I plan on planting a TON of them next spring.

My Hawiian Ti plants didn't fare as well... they didn't like the frost. They died back to the roots when in my front tree island, so after they regrew, I moved them up next to the house and put holiday lights on them to keep them warm at night... until I forgot to turn the lights on! Ooopsies. They're all gone now.

And speaking of WEATHER... the hard freeze pix from above were taken one year ago today. And this afternoon we're supposed to hit a record high of 91 degrees. Ugh. Normal highs for here are in the low 80s this time of year. Of course, a couple weeks ago it got down to 40 here... and last week it was down to 51 again. Bouncin'...

I would definetely have to agree with Kev on this one.....gimme the autoloader over a bulky cannon anyday in a close quarters quickie.

You'll notice I said "if I carry". Fact is, I don't carry nor plan to. I don't feel a need to.

"If we were in a 'situation' together..I could drop 3 perps with my 45 before ya even got that cannon out..." If you're close enough to hit 3 perps with a 45, then all 4 of you must be in the same closet. Unless you're referring to a 45 Colt.
