Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

So, even a tiny bit of progress is progress.

I got the windshield off today and took some pics.

Just looking at her reminds me of just how much fun she is.

Lots to be done. She needs foam and floor. I will replace the transom. I will redo the dash. The steering cable is gonna need a can of PB blaster.
Then I think some carpet. I still havent made up my mind on seating.

BUT. Even a tiny bit of progress is progress.

I agree with osby, you should fire up your own restoration thread if you haven't already. Lots of smart and experienced guys lurk in the restoration threads. Good looking SC that should fix up wonderfully for you.

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

Hi guys, I guess it's time that I checked in. I have a 1972 Holiday 21' with a 120 HP Mercruiser I/O. Until recently, the restore wasn't complete enough to present in this thread. She's almost done. Are they ever complete? Here's some pictures, but the whole story and lots of pictures can be found here in my restore thread: http://forums.iboats.com/boat-resto...tarcraft-holiday-reno-hull-repair-517895.html - Grandad

1975 ( i believe) Starcraft American Runabout 20 or at least as best as I can ascertain thats what I have! Just acquired a month ago. Mercruiser 165 power runs great. I want to add an electronic points system and coil. Had to change the "up" trim line as it blew.(thats a NASTY job)... My first stern drive havent any more close up pics but will post some later when I do. Its almost time to haul it out of the water and store for the winter :(.

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

I just bought a 14' Starcraft Marlin. Probably paid too much, but I fell in love with it. I'm a complete noob when it comes to boats. Everything seems well preserved. Lot of little holes in the hull. Came with a 76' 25hp Evinrude. Was a search and rescue boat in nearby Nottoway Co. VA. Here are some pics!

To have a photo of your Starcraft from 1966 is awesome!

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

Here is our 82 SS. I had to do a lot of fast talking to get the admiral on board to buy her. We already had a 20 foot ski boat that needed work , and this little jewel needed a new lower unit. All my friends think I was nuts to already have one boat that didn't run and then turn around and buy another one that needed engine work. Oh well they just haven't caught M.B.S. yet.:D
