Looks like Starcraft is starting to take over the restoration section :p

We have a great collection here on iboats :D

I own two of them one is a 1963 14' that I redid a few years ago and my recent additional one is the 1966 16' Jupiter.

I would like to start this as a consolidation thread so we can all show our Starcraft toys both aluminum and fiberglass.

My 1963 Transom, gluvit, paint and a sweet running 18 Hp Rude!

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

Good Idea Bob.. Mines a 1991 Starcraft/Monark Legend 1800 FS.. Yep its a Starcraft all right.. HIN Starts with STR just like all the rest. Mine was made by Brunswick for sale in Canada which is why it also has a Mariner Engine and not a Mercury. The Mariner was made in Belgium and it has been verified to have actually been made by Yamaha. The gash in the bow is now repaired and it's well on it's way in the restoration process. New pics will follow as soon as my camera gets back from the repair shop.

Before the restoration project - Late October 2008

After the resoration project - Late April 2009 - Almost done !

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

Got two in the yard. One I need to strip and scrap and one that I need to do the floor and transom.

Just need the space to do it where the temps aren't -10C

If only I knew someone who has just opened a boat repair shop in town..........

1970 16 foot Jupiter? I don't think its a holiday because it appears they have steps and a walkthrough windshield.
It lives about 16 miles from the factory where it was born;)
If any one knows of someplace that has a 1970 brochure posted let me know, cause right now I just call it a runabout.

Bob, I know i've been posting up a lot of stuff with my restoration, but I didn't want to not join in on this one :D

My latest money pit is a 66 Aluminum Sunchief. 21'6" long and powered by a rebuilt 110 HP Mercruiser.
Here's what it looked like when we got it.

Here's what it looks like now.

Barely a day goes by that I'm not working on this boat and I hope to have it ready for the maiden voyage by mid June.

This is my baby, she looks a little rough right now (what do you want for 700 bucks) but hopefully by the end of the month she will be in sea worthy shape. I just got it back from the shop today, had a tear and some ribs welded up. By the end of this week the new floor will be installed and then onto paint.

I don't think I'll have any major projects on the boat this year however major work is underway rehabbing a new-to-me trailer for it.

Don't forget the little guys. Starcraft made some terrific little utility boats. Some of them were made for Montgomery Wards, and they were identical with the Starcraft-branded models. Here's my little tinny, a 1964 Sea Scamp. It's never leaked a drop:

'85 SuperSport 2210

Here's photo (left) of ours right after we got it. And, right at the end of the season as we were winterizing... I'll post an updated photo once we get finished with the interior and I clean and polish the hull again - we trashed it last year when we took it an tied up to the houseboat in Kentucky!

Re: STARCRAFT OWNERS Check in

Another Starcraft owner here. I just posted on the beginnings of my restoration project. 85 21' center console. Tons of great Starcraft info here!

Hey Bob, I'm also a Vermonter - born and raised. Central Vt, Northeast Kingdom, and college years in Burlington. I moved away some years ago - now my brother thinks it's hilarious to call me a flatlander - (hey, those be fightin' words where I'm from!)

1969 Jupiter V here. I've had it for a while, but I need to replace the transom and floors soon. While I'm at it, I'm going to check the seams and hammer some rivets. It has a good, simple layout and lots of room. Classic design you just can't get anymore.
