Looking good. Glastrons are cool boats. There were 65 of em at the MN meet in August. (CGOAMN.com)

Is that an Aqua-lift II hull, or round bottom?

Aqua lift II is a V-pad design with a flat planing surface on the bottom. And sponsons, of sorts. Definitely faster than the original Aqualift. Better riding? Ehh ...

Once ya finish puttin lipstick on that 70 you should sell it and find a 140. No offense but I think you're gonna find performance with the 70 to be somewhat 'lackluster' ...

No offense taken... but I got the whole rig for $100
So I cant really complain but if i do come across a good deal on a bigger outboard Im going to get it
But until then it will get me out on the water

That looks great. Planning on similar with my old Johnson when I get that far. Can't stand the old green (or gold as they call it)

Thank you now I have to put a bunch of parts back on that I took off to paint
Does anyone know where I can find a gasket for the motor cowl or does anyone know what else I could use?

I'd go with OEM. Determine a part# then shop around.

Yes very pricy...I might just paint the old gray gasket
With flexible automotive trim paint

Looks great. Slight changes like that make it stand out from the rest. Makes it yours.
