Amen to glassing in a standoff for your bilge pump. No way I wanted holes that low in the bilge. Good call.

I got the cap back on yesterday
Wasn't easy but it did drop right on
This is where the mesurements payed off
It fit like a glove
I still have to tab in around the splashwell and reinstall the rubrails

I also put on the rubrail frame
Starting to look good now
Anyone have any tips or ideas on getting the rubber back in the rubrail channel?

A heat gun or hair dryer is your Tool of Choice for the rubrail. Heat it up so it can be stretched which temporarily shrinks it and makes it easier to get back in the channel. It will return to it's original shape fairly quickly. A flat blade screwdriver also helps to tuck the ridges into place.

Today i got the boat covered for the winter Hopefully over the winter i can get some of the interior trim pieces cut and upholstered Now the next phase...the outboard First thing i need....a paintjob I paid $100 for the boat trailer and a 70hp That was rebuilt in 2012 by a marina (got the receipts for all the work) Not the biggest motor but for $100 still a good deal

Well I thought I was done with fiberglassing... But I decided to tab in some scrap wood to screw the seat bases into so I dont drill into the new deck (The upside down "T" is holding up the tarp frame)

I painted my motor with Rustoleum and Acrylic enamel hardener. Had custom decals made too. Holding up very well.
