Do you used downriggers with flashers and spoons? We all use coho kilers in washington. I don't think I've ever seen spoons used.

sorry, the last picture link had an error.

question: will this Moeller tank work above deck, under my bow? it says below deck, but i do not see why being above would be any different? I am going to e-mail moeller too. Just thought someone here might be able to help too.

Hey Pusher,

We do use Down-riggers out in the bay mostly, not so much in the Big C or Willy. No flasher with the Spoons, used with a cannon ball weight 4-12oz. Silverhorde spoons; Flashers with herring and/or anchovies though. Not too many guys down here use Coho killers, but they are a very effective lure. Have used them with my brother in-law when we fish the mouth of the Cowlitz.

It will work fine. I ran a "below deck" tank on my old Starcraft trihull for a long time, sitting on top of the deck under the splashwell. The tank doesnt care. Below deck tanks are just generally transparent like that photo while topside tanks are red and opaque.

Thank you! I was thinking the same exact thing, how does the tank know where it is? Getting on Amazon now to order it. Appreciate the response.

Anything that eliminates the drag of the flasher so you can feel the fight is a win in my book. I threw a fly on the top when we hit a lul last year and caught one last fish. That was a blast.
How has the blob been affecting you guys?

In case you haven't purchased yet, you might want to get a tank you can strap down. That one might need to have a box built just to contain it. I 5200'd a shelf into the bow and mounted my tank on that. It has built in grooves for a strap to buckle down on. I then connected the strap around the tank and to the board using eye straps. It made it pretty easy. You'll also have to drill a filler neck for your tank... I just did this last week.

Thanks for the suggestion. I like that idea for the extra tank that rests under the splashwell. As well, really appreciate the picture of your bow tank.

Also, do you know anyone with my style bellboy? I need the boat plaque :-/
