Tore my motor down this morning and came across this piston. I was wondering if I might be able to reuse it or is it to far gone? All the bearings look really good. Piston walls are very clean no scrapes or scratches. Found the broke piece of the piston in the oil pump so I got lucky...
I pulled my heads apart today and noticed I only have valve seals on the intake valve? Is this right? I know on a car its not but I am new to the boating world and thought it might not be. Also what is the point of the o ring type gaskets at the top of the valves under the locks?

Was surfing summits website and came across this engine rebuild kit. Was wondering if I could use this in my boat? I am really just going to use the rimgs and gaskets. Do you think it will be ok or will I have to use a marine kit?
