Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
yippeeee got to work on the boat today. i managed to get the deck 90% cut and fitted. doesnt sound like much but its a huge step forward and step closer to fiberglass.
the first picture is the back where i am going to make cover that can be removed to...
Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
well we got some time to spend on the boat today. Got the transom cut out and pretty much fitted. not as perfect as i imagined but that was due our not thinking right. when we cut the transom we cut it straight instead of on an angle to allow for the...

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
and the last pic after a last nights grinding
this pic kinda shows the spot near the transom that is so thick (the circles area) and it doesn't have any fibers in it just looks like it thickened and stuck extremely well
Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

2nd pic is the thickness im dealing with so yeah grinder is gonna be the way

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

the middle one beefed up for ski pole anchor
and the extra one across the back side to side so ihave a lip to be able to rest the removable cover on
the very back of the...
Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
i kinda found it odd that the stringers didn't go straight to the transom
next step of the game is to get the front structure and ski locker out and remainder of the floor. and that will give me a bigger picture of what there is to redo and how to do...

Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
i found a restoration of a gt-150 and i think i like this idea for the transom area looks clean and functional. just wondering if its a doable addition to mine
the only thing i have that that boat doesnt have is a big hydralic pump for the trim
Re: banshee transom and likely stringers
ok these pics are straight down the transom with the plywood removed and at the bottom is the hull but somewhere in that area i expected to see something that would resemble a stringer or wood.
the third image is the center of the transom where the...
