I'm missing the Zinc horseshoe after traveling a washboard road. Is there any harm in running without it in fresh water.. I see abundant exhaust bubbles boiling up in front of the outdrive. The horseshoe normally partially plugs the exhaust vent at this location. ???

None of the zinc, aluminum or magnesium sacrificial anodes are need for a boat which spends it's life on a trailer. So long as it is not plugged into shore power they don't even need to be there

if you want to replace it, I have run across them for under $20 online. the whole kit (all 3 zincs) is under $35
