Has anyone experienced a lower output shaft seal leak in these units? I have run the gambit of tests and have now run out of options and really, really don't want to have to pull the entire drive train to replace this seal. Anyone?

It's in a Mastercraft ProV 205, Ford 351, external (new) cooler. Shaft is a little tight when turning it by hand outside the boat even when I lube up the cutlas.
