ZERO COMPRESSION IN THIRD CYLINDER

Have a 50HP Mercury outboard 1988, have no compression in third cylinder. How do I take it apart to look at the cylinder.

Hi Charlotte<br />Lets slow down a minute. We have plenty of time to tear into things. First do you know a reason why you don't have compression on #3? Did it run out of oil? over heat? Start running bad during use? Or did you just pull it from storage and find it dosen't work good now? Was it running ok last year?

Peek through the plug hole and look for damage. The head(water jacket cover) won't expose anything. Try a decarb. If no improvement, she gotta come apart.
