Well you have all your ducks in a row. All I would suggest is to kick out the over drive until you get out of the hills. That is your weakest link is the trannie on that durango. If you see the OD light flashing then the trannie is over heating. While you were installing the bigger pan you should have installed a temp gauge for the trannie.

That's what you'd call belt and braces Josh.

Don't lose sleep - it'll work fine.

One thing I don't see in the list is a tranny cooler. Probably came stock on the truck but if you don't have it, then you should. The cooling fins on the pan don't do as much.

But I'd be real surprised if it didn't come stock with the truck.

Josh,
I wish everyone was as prepared ! Consider a transmission temp guage. They are easy to install and relatively inexpensive. I would also recommend a spare hub complete with bearings and a spare tire as well. Tie Down sells a complete tire/rim/hub/bearing kit with a spindle that bolts to the frame.

If you want to save yourself a lot of clean-up grief -- put a set of mud flaps on your tow vechicle. Or at the end of your trip -- you will have one heck of a dirty boat from road tar etc.....
